Our Story

We started as a small group of Northern Colorado like-minded designers and farmers in 2019…

About 10 of us got together one evening to brainstorm how we could make it easier for Colorado florists & designers to purchase local flowers. We owe a special thanks to the amazing Lace & Lilies and Emily Rose Floral for initiating that gathering! The group had equal representation between designers and growers. We all wanted the same things… An easier way for designers to purchase flowers grown here with love, care and a respect for the environment. An opportunity to support small farms and local agriculture. A desire to use flowers that have incredible fragrance and longer vase life. Confidence that material is safe and not laden with chemicals. The ability to build trusting partnerships between designers and farmers.

The gathering Encouraged us. Inspired us. Ignited us.

We wasted no time. We decided on a day and time to gather and two weeks later we began the NOCO Flower Community Market. We met once a week at a borrowed warehouse location in Fort Collins. Farmers brought fresh cuts for direct sale and designers came to shop. But, more than that, it became a place to get to know each other and build on what we’d started.

In 2023, we made the leap to a more formal market structure. One that aggregates all inventory from all farms to a single on-line shopping source. Our goal has always been to make shopping local easy for designers.

In 2024, we are really stepping up our game with new permanent market space! We are so excited that the NOCO Flower Community now has a home located at 2008 East Lincoln, Fort Collins, CO 80524.

And so our story continues…We can’t wait to see what this season brings!
